We will be hosting virtual Open Houses, webinars about our academic, co-curricular and wellness programs as well as podcasts that you can download and listen to when it is convenient for you. Visit our Virtual Admission Centre for details and check back often for updates and new opportunities.
Interview & Assessment
Once we receive your completed application, a member of the Admission team will contact you to arrange the interview and assessment. The interview is designed to allow us to get to know you and your child as well as provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about the Havergal difference. For the health and safety of our applicants, students and faculty, for the time being interviews will be conducted over Zoom. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app in advance of your interview.
The interview and assessment will be approximately 60 minutes and include time with you (parents) together with your child, as well as time with your child on their own. During the interview, through guided conversation, we will work through a series of tasks which are designed to provide the school with an understanding of each applicant’s skills in a number of areas such as: literacy, numeracy, communication, critical thinking, problem solving and self-awareness.
Please note: If English is not the applicant’s first language, they may be asked to write the IELTS or TOEFL assessment to determine their English proficiency.
Deadline to apply for Financial Assistance: January 3, 2022
Thanks to many gifts from alumni, parents and friends, Havergal is able to move toward eliminating the tuition fee barrier for exceptional students in the Upper School who otherwise would not be able to attend Havergal. Financial aid is awarded in the form of a bursary. Bursaries are based on demonstrated financial need and are confidential.
To be considered, please complete the Financial Assistance for Canadian Students (FACS) application form available on applefinancialservices.ca. The deadline to apply is January 3, 2022. Financial assistance decisions are separate from admission decisions. Visit Tuition and Financial Information to learn more and to apply. Havergal also offers several Entrance Scholarships that are based on the financial need demonstrated by the candidate.
All admission decisions will be emailed to families on February 25, 2022.
