Dartmouth College
As an artist, scientist and entrepreneur, Carol has gained a lot of experience during her four years at Havergal. After beginning her journey in Grade 9, she immersed herself in student life: competing in field hockey, track and field and curling, as well as contributing to the school’s yearbook (Ludemus) and serving on the Wellbeing Council. With an interest in mental health advocacy, she later joined the World Health Organization Pan American Youth Committee. By Grade 12, Carol had the courage to run for the position of School Captain, which she is proud to have been elected to. Passionate about science and math, she focused her studies on biology, chemistry and calculus. Her curiosity about the world of science led her to volunteer at the University Health Network’s Krembil Brain Institute, where she supported a research project using machine learning to analyze seizure activity in mice. On the side, Carol runs a successful small online business creating and selling custom stickers. These interests and experiences have inspired her to study Neuroscience and Economics at Dartmouth College, with an interest in exploring the fields of neuroeconomics or medicine.
