Typical Weekday Schedule
- 7:30 am to 8:10 am: Breakfast
- 8:10 am: Proceed to House
- 8:20 am: Attendance
- 8:30 am: Prayers, Grade or House Meetings
- 9:10 am: Morning classes begin
- 10:25 am: Break/Snack
- 11:50 am: Lunch
- 12:50 pm: Afternoon classes begin
- 3:30 pm to 5 pm: Sports/Club activities/free-time/homework
- 5 pm to 5:45 pm: Dinner
- 6 pm to 8:00 pm: Study
- 8 pm to 9:30 pm: Recreational activities/free time
- 9:30 pm (Sunday-Thursday): All students are required to be back in Boarding.
- 10 pm: All students must be in their own rooms for quiet time.
- 10:30 pm: All lights out/Boarding School Office closes
Weekend Routine
Optional activities are often planned on weekends and are posted outside the Boarding Office. Students are permitted to sign out for weekends with staff approval and parent/guardian permission.
Friday
- 3:30 pm to 5 pm: Free time
- 5 pm to 5:45 pm: Dinner
- 6 pm to Curfew: Free time
- 12:30 am: Boarding Office closes
Saturday
- 9 am: Boarding Office opens
- 10:30 am to 12 pm: Brunch
- 12 to 5 pm: Free time/optional events
- 5 to 5:45 pm: Dinner
- 6 pm to Curfew: Free time
- 12:30 am: Boarding Office closes
Sunday
- 9 am: Boarding Office opens
- 10:30 am to 12 pm: Brunch
- 12 to 5 pm: Free time/optional events
- 5 to 5:45 pm: Dinner
- 6 to 8 pm: In-room study (all grades)
- 8 to 9:30 pm: Recreational activities/free time

Food Services
Havergal’s Food Services provides nutritious and delicious food to nourish the body and mind. Each day, from Monday to Friday, you will be served three nutritious (and delicious) meals in the Hawkins Dining Room in the Upper School, along with morning, afternoon and after school snacks. On weekends you will be served a delicious brunch and dinner with a variety of choices. The school’s chefs provide a wide selection of food offerings and international and cultural diverse cuisine are featured often, along with organic food and seasonal produce. Plus there’s a wide selection of food items from the salad bar, along with daily soups, desserts, fruits, snacks and beverages. Vegetarian options are also provided and special dietary restrictions or allergies can be accommodated. Juice, milk and water are always available and the Boarding Common Rooms are stocked with various snacks (such as fruit, bagels, cheese, sandwich meat, soups, cereal, yogurt, milk and juice) and have a small kitchenette.
