Centre for Learning Research

Advancing Havergal’s commitment to educational excellence through research and professional learning.

Havergal’s Centre for Learning Research designs and implements research projects that enhance the understanding of learning efficacy and best practices in girls’ education. Research findings are disseminated through publications, presentations and workshops to inform teaching practices and contribute to the broader educational community.

By translating research findings into practical classroom applications, the Centre for Learning Research directly benefits students by ensuring they receive instruction grounded in the latest pedagogical research. This process also empowers students by showing them their teachers as researchers, engaged in a continuous cycle of inquiry and improvement. Eventually, students will also benefit from direct support on their own research projects, helping them to develop essential research skills.
