Step 2: Explore Havergal
Before your interview, we invite you to take our virtual tour of Havergal and join us for one of our Admission events. We will be hosting virtual Open Houses, webinars about our academic, co-curricular and wellness programs as well as podcasts that you can download and listen to when it is convenient for you. Visit our Virtual Admission Centre for details and check back often for updates and new opportunities.
Step 3: Interview
Once we receive your completed application, you will be able to book an interview. Interviews begin on October 13, 2020 and will run until February 5, 2021. The interview is designed to allow us to get to know you and your daughter as well as provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about the Havergal difference. For the health and safety of our applicants, students and faculty, for the time being interviews will be conducted over Zoom. We highly recommend downloading the Zoom app in advance of your interview.
Step 4: Assessment
As an academic school that is focused on the human experience, our admission process reflects our desire to understand our applicants as learners and young people on a journey, discovering who they are and how they want to make a difference. It is important to us that our process is fair, equitable and inclusive. We are very cognizant of the different educational experiences our candidates have had over the past year; we want to assure parents and applicants that our assessment process will focus on both age appropriate academic skills and attributes which have been developed or are developing and align with the values of the College. Specific details about our assessment process for Junior Kindergarten will be available in October. In-person group assessments will only be held when it is deemed appropriate and safe to do so.
Step 5: Admission Decision
All admission decisions will be emailed to families on February 26, 2021.
