Havergal College is hosting a symposium on “Modern Food” that will explore food as science and food as industry.

Parents are invited to join us on Friday, February 24 from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the Hawkins Dining Hall to hear Mark Schatzker, acclaimed author of The Dorito Effect, local chef and Havergal Old Girl Devon Walsh (Class of 2008) and our own Rauni Whiteley, Director of Food Services, explore the social, political, economic and flavour impacts of food on our lives.

We are not exploring conversations about diet, nutrition, suggestions for eating habits, nor endorsing ways of eating.
