Dear Parents,

Today the Ontario government declared a state of emergency for the province and a 28-day stay-at-home order effective this Thursday, January 14. Based on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, schools in Toronto will remain closed for in-person learning until February 10, 2021. Given this update, all Havergal students will continue with remote learning until Tuesday, February 16. Given there are only two school days until the February Mid-Term Break, we have decided to remain closed for on campus learning until after the long weekend. You can view the government announcement here.

Student learning will continue to be guided by our Continuous Learning Plan (CLP) as we move through the winter term.

Since last spring, we have experienced an incredible amount of challenge and uncertainty. But throughout this time, our community has remained connected, demonstrated resilience and shown considerable strength which has seen us through and continued to inspire me.

As I mentioned last week, I have every confidence that our students will persevere, grow and thrive.

Stay safe,

Catherine Misson
Principal
