‘Tis the season for music! December is a special month at Havergal, a time to gather as a community for musical performances by students of all ages. This year’s events kicked off on Wednesday, December 12 with our Middle and Senior School band and strings ensembles performing for family and friends in the Brenda Robson Hall.

The Junior and Senior Kindergarten students took the stage in the Junior School gym on the afternoon of Friday, December 14. Our youngest students put on a great show for their families, which included reciting poems they had written and singing winter-themed songs.

On Tuesday, December 18, students in Grades 1 to 6 performed a variety of holiday-inspired songs in the Brenda Robson Hall to a packed audience.

The holiday season at Havergal culminated with our annual Service of Lessons and Carols (Carol Service) at St. Paul’s Bloor Street church on the evening of Wednesday, December 19. That evening, we welcomed more than 2,000 community members (including Old Girls and past parents) to hear the Upper School choirs sing beautiful Christmas carols.

Thank you to all of the Music teachers for their hard work preparing the students for these inspiring performances and congratulations to all of the students on their passion and dedication to music!
