Junior School students celebrated the fall season by giving back to the community through the North York Harvest Food Bank at this year’s Harvest Festival. This annual event marks the start of the Thanksgiving long weekend. It begins with the students carrying beautifully decorated baskets of food across the bridge between the Junior and the Upper Schools and placing them on a table as they walk into the Brenda Robson Hall, where family and friends were awaiting their arrival. Audience members enjoyed performances by the students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, including songs and prayers. Afterward, the Grade 6 students helped to load the Havergal truck with all of the food donations, which totalled 1455 lbs. of food. Thank you to all of the Junior School families for supporting this important event and to our music teachers for their work putting on a wonderful show!
