On Tuesday, April 24, the Havergal community gathered once again for our annual Founders’ Day service at St. Paul’s Bloor Street. On this day, we celebrate the laying of the cornerstone of our present Upper School building on April 23, 1926.

This year’s service included a welcome from Board Chair and Old Girl Martha Simmons (Class of 1999) and our traditional address by Principal Helen-Kay Davy, Prayers Prefect Anne Broughton, Boarding Prefect Osuare Atafo and School Captain Alex Rozenberg. We also heard from our Senior, Middle and Junior School Choirs.

The daisy boutonnieres worn by our Class of 2018 Grads were a gift from the Havergal College Old Girls Association to mark their passage from students to Old Girls, and to share with the Havergal community the significance of Founders’ Day.
