Location: Algonquin Park
This excursion is part of the Grade 11 Outdoor Education curriculum. It is a experiential focus course where the student learns knowledge and skills in the classroom and then uses those skills through practical application in the outdoors. Students learn to cooperate, problem solve, lead and follow while experiencing unknown and challenging situations. They learn that they are capable as individuals and in group situations. This excursion develops canoeing, portaging, and camping skills, while building group dynamic skills.
