The Principal’s role at Havergal College is multi-faceted and is responsible for all aspects of the College’s long-term strategy and current operations, which include, ensuring the strength and delivery of student academic programs, student safety and wellbeing, talent and Human Resources management, fiscal discipline, marketing, philanthropy and active community relationships.

The ideal candidate is a visionary, forward-thinking leader with a deep affinity for the unique aspects of girls’ education who will position Havergal for the next generation of learners. Possessing a deep understanding of the changing nature of education in the 21st century, including the role of a blended learning model, designed around the pillars of academics, wellbeing and student agency, the new Principal will hold a Master’s degree in education and preferably a PhD or EdD.

With a proven professional history of innovative educational leadership, the successful candidate will have a record of achievement, experience, and capabilities necessary to guide a school of the Havergal’s caliber and international reputation as both a Canadian and global leader in girls’ education. With a demonstrated ability to attract, retain and engage students, faculty, employees and the Havergal community, the new Principal will drive and build a shared vision of the future for the College and possess deep expertise in strategically managing the seamless function and operations areas of a multi-faceted school.
