On the weekend of September 28-30, students, faculty, staff, parents, Old Girls and community members gathered on Havergal’s campus for Celebration Weekend 2018.

The fun officially began on Friday, September 28 with our Junior School Old Girls Prayers, an event that invites Old Girls who are current Junior School mothers to share their Havergal stories. The JS students enjoy seeing their mothers at school in their uniforms.

On Saturday, September 29, the community gathered on the South Quad to kick-off Celebration Saturday with speeches and cheers. This event brings everyone together to raise funds for our local Community Partners, including Art City, Best Buddies, Briton House, Grenoble Public School’s Homework Club and Dance4Life, Jack.org, Jumpstart AIM Sport for Community Camp, Lawrence Heights Middle School, Music Connect and New Circles. Together, the Havergal community raised more than $50,000 in support of these partners.

Later that evening, Old Girls from classes ending in 3 and 8 returned to Havergal for their reunions. Old Girls enjoyed reminiscing with old friends and had the opportunity to go on a tour of the Boarding School.

On Sunday, September 30, we honoured our Old Girls who graduated 50 years ago this year as our newest Cinquantenaires with a chapel service and reunion luncheon.

It was a wonderful weekend for our community and we thank all involved for making it a success!
