Grades 5 & 6—New Entry
Beginning in September 2020, Grade 5 will become an entry year with 20 places for new students. For 2020 only, we also have places for 14 new Grade 6 students. Students joining in Grade 5 or 6 will have the benefit of being part of our Minds Set Free program, which encompasses Grades 5 through 8. Students explore and develop themselves as learners, leaders, community members and citizens of the world through a rigorous academic and co-curricular program that includes a formal leadership program, experiential learning opportunities and increased athletics and performing arts options. Our new buildings, which will open in September 2020, were specifically designed to ensure that students in Grades 5 to 8 could set their minds free to discover how they can make a difference as women leaders of the future.

The assessments will focus on understanding the student’s literacy, numeracy skills, critical thinking skills and interpersonal competencies. The entrance assessment will take place at the Upper School, located at 1451 Avenue Road.

Applicants who are overseas will be invited to participate in a Skype interview. Tours in the Junior School are led by a current Havergal parent or a student ambassador.
