Student vs. Parent Basketball
To celebrate their fantastic basketball season, the girls on the Grade 6 Basketball team challenged their parents to a game. The parents accepted the challenge, and began their practice in earnest, even creating customized "Gator Crushers" team jerseys.
The Grade 6 Student vs. Parent basketball game took place in the double gym on Monday, October 29. The final score was 24-17 for the students! Highlights, as described by the students, included: The parents' fun gator jerseys (even their teachers and coaches were in them), Mr. Lucacescu doing round-offs on the court, Mr. Podrez sinking a three pointer and ending two great seasons of growth with a game played against their parents!
The game was also a great way for students to cap off their basketball careers as Junior School players and an excellent way to look forward to what lies ahead at the Upper School.
