On Friday, October 5, the Junior School and their families gathered in the Brenda Robson Hall for the annual Harvest Festival. Students carried non-perishable food donations to donate to the North York Harvest Food Bank, one of our community partners. This year, the Junior School donated a total of 1,370 lbs of food to the food bank, which will help make this weekend a little more special for some families in need.
Students led prayers and sang songs. After the ceremonies were over, the Grade 6 students stayed behind to help load the Havergal truck with the food donations for the food bank.
The event is a lovely way to kick-off the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a time for family, friends and thanks.
