In mid-June, the Havergal student publication, The Bluestocking, was printed and distributed to students. The 127-page colour magazine includes poetry, short stories, photography, art and creative writing in English, French and Mandarin.
Why is it called The Bluestocking? In the mid-18th century, the bluestockings were groups of English women who convened to read and share their ideas about such things as literature. In the same way, The Bluestocking is Havergal College’s arts and literature magazine that highlights the artistic talents of Havergal students.
