The
Institute at Havergal is helping to implement the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) program
this August at the NOAH’s Ark orphanage in Molweni (Durban), South Africa.
This
summer’s participants in the Havergal South Africa Global Experience Program
excursion are currently learning how to use the XO One Laptop Per Child
software, which they will be taking with them when they visit the Ark in
Molweni this summer.
Using
these laptops, we will be able to continue our conversations with the Nurturing
Orphans of AIDS Humanity (NOAH) youth all year long. Thank you to Mark Battley and the Ntugi team for their
time, knowledge, experience and connection to OLPC, as they coach and support
us in this new aspect of our partnership with NOAH.
