The Havergal Old Girls Association's mission is to provide support to and connections between the Old Girl community and Havergal College. Through its core values of inclusion, responsibility, altruism, innovation, creativity, leadership, action, friendship and fun, Old Girls have built an incredible community since 1894 when Havergal's doors first opened on Jarvis Street.
I am honoured to be the newest President of the Havergal Old Girls Association and I am excited to collaborate not only with other members of the HOGA Directorate but also with our alumnae, both young and old. Havergal Old Girls are dynamic women who have made a difference both locally and globally and I always find it so rewarding to meet our alumnae and hear their interesting and exciting life stories.
Interacting with Old Girls is also a wonderful social and networking opportunity and there are many ways we offer for you to become engaged. Now, more than ever, our reach is far greater through the use of social media. Havergal is on board with Facebook, Twitter and other online mediums to ensure that every Old Girl has a touch point. Many Old Girls who live abroad are now actively involved on committees via online communication.
I encourage you to drop by the school anytime—while many things have changed the feeling is still the same—Havergal is a warm and inviting place with many fond memories for us all!
Dale McIntosh 1992 President, Havergal Old Girls Association
